Marian J. Freeze, 89, a longtime Wenatchee resident passed away Monday Sept. 2, 
2001 at Parkside Convalescent Home. 

Marian was born June 15, 1912 in Seattle, to Dominic and Rose Marie Ali where she 
attended school. 

In 1938, she married Joseph Freeze, moving to Kirkland in 1942 where she worked in 
the shipyard during the war years. In 1946, they moved to Wenatchee where she was 
Clerk-Receptionist in the Circulation Department of The Wenatchee Daily World for 
the next 27 years till her retirement. 

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, past president of the Lady 
Lions and Emblem Club. She was active in Civil Defense and coordinator for 
Volunteers of the American Red Cross Blood Drawing till 1972. 

Marian is survived by her son William and his wife Sharon, two grandchildren, three 
great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, brother James and one grandson. 

At her request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to 
the American Red Cross.
