1981 book:
Joseph was a currier and leather dealer. He lived in Phila., Pa. Joseph wrote "Some 
extracts and remarks" (1859), "An earnest appeal" (1872), and "The Testimony of 
George Fox, William Penn, and Robert Barclay" (1893). Joseph was a prominent 
member of the Religious Society of Friends. Joseph also wrote a memorial and 
genealogy of Charles Price Maule (1E5453), his nephew, even while Charles was still 
alive. In this pamphlet Joseph included much genealogical information.
	In the 1870 Pennsylvania census, Joseph's house is listed with a value of 
$30,000 and his personalty is valued at $65,000.
 Sarah's first cousin David Comfort had a son Maurice Bacon Comfort who married 
Caroline Maule (1E52222).
 Joseph and Susan had no children.
