Virginia H. (Broga) Jones, 83, of East Street, died Friday in Baystate Medical Center. 
She had been employed by the former American Bosch and by Electronic Coil. During 
the 1950s she had also worked for the Springfield schools in the food service 
department. Born in Becket, she had been a resident of Springfield since 1939. She 
was a former member of East Church. Her husband, Robert J. Jones, died in 1983. 
She leaves a daughter, Donna L. Gouger of Springfield; three brothers, Harry Broga of 
New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Robert Broga of the Feeding Hills section of Agawam, and 
Douglas Broga of Dudley; four sisters, Helen Gagliardi of West Brookfield, Dora Hilton 
of California, Bernice Rice of Warren, and Mildred Henderson of Eubank, Ky.; a 
granddaughter; and two great grandsons. The funeral is Wednesday morning at 
Byron's Allen Street Funeral Home, with burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Calling hours 
are Tuesday afternoon and evening. Memorial contributions may be made to any 
charity.
