	Harry was educated in the public schools of Denver, Col., and at East 
Denver High School.
	Harry was a United Press newsman and a book editor. While with United 
Press he was a copy editor in New York, N.Y., and from 1907 until 1911, managed 
United Press offices in Detroit, Boston, and New Haven, Conn. Before associating 
himself with United Press, Harry was a correspondent for the Denver Times, New York 
Press, Mexican Daily Record, and New York Sun, from 1905 through 1907.
	In 1911, Harry became a book editor for Doubleday's Country Life Press. He 
was successively editor of the book department at Doubleday, Page & Company, and 
vice-president of Doubleday, Doran & Company. Harry left Doubleday in June 1939 to 
become senior editor at Random House. He retired in 1966.
	In 1912, Harry wrote "The Boys' Book of New Inventions". Harry was a 
trustee of the Village of Garden City, N.Y., from 1942 until 1947. He was a member of 
the Episcopalian Church, and of the Authors League of America, the Century 
Association of New York, and the National Arts Club.
	Harry was editor of "A Book of War Letters" (1943), "Great Tales of the 
American West" (1945), "The Pocket Book of Western Stories" (1945), and other 
books. Harry also was editor of "Short Stories Magazine". He was co-editor of "The 
Man from Main Street: A Sinclair Lewis Reader" (1953). He contributed many articles 
to magazines.
